Nathan Kanuma Taremwa: He is a Lecturer and Researcher at the University of Rwanda (UR); College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences & Veterinary Medicine (CAVM), School of Agriculture and Food Sciences (SAFS); Department of Rural Development and Agricultural Economics (RDAE).
He is a PhD Scholar in Agribusiness Management at Kenyatta University (KU), Nairobi-Kenya. He holds two master’s degrees from different disciplines (M Sc., Leadership Development in Information, Communication Technology and the Knowledge Society from University of Mauritius (UoM) and M Sc., Agricultural Development from Ghent University, Belgium), and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rwanda.
Currently serving as the University of Rwanda’s principal investigator for:
- The capacity strengthening in technology transfer and commercialization for university intellectual property (TT-CUIP) project, and;
- Advancing sustainable development in Rwanda through circular agro-economy project with funding from DAAD in collaboration with Hochschule Neu Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HNU), Germany from 2021 to 2024.
He is the focal person between the University of Rwanda and the African Institute for Indigenous Knowledge Systems (IIKS). He also serves as a research associate at the Center of Excellence in Biodiversity and Natural Resources Management (CoEB) at the University of Rwanda. He is an Institutional Auditor and Programme Reviewer certified by the Higher Education Council (HEC), Rwanda.
He is the Secretary General for the Rwanda Quality Assurance Network (RWAQAN) and Country Representative at EAQAN.
